Anca Mândru worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Gerda Henkel funded project, “The Liminality of Failing Democracy: East Central Europe during the Interwar Slump,” at the University of Birmingham, 2021-2023. She received her PhD in Eastern European History in 2019, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since 2024, she is an International Fellow at the Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut Essen (KWI), where she is completing a monograph on the Left in Romania before World War One.
