Onafhankelijkheid, Dekolonisatie, Geweld en Oorlog in Indonesië 1945-1950
Independence, Decolonization, Violence and War in Indonesia 1945-1950 presents the results from the joint research program of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV), the Netherlands Institute for Military History (NIMH) and the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
Central to the series is the question of the dynamics of the events surrounding the violence during the Indonesian War of Independence, from the proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 1945, to the end of the war in 1949. The books include detailed examinations of military, political and judicial aspects, as well as the impact of the violence on various groups. Attention is also paid to the political and social aftermath in the Netherlands.
