She is the author of Screening the Art World, The Figure of the Migrant in Contemporary European Cinema, Contemporary Visual Culture and the Sublime, Warped Minds: Cinema and Psychopathology, European Film Theory, The Image in French Philosophy, and the novels Tourist and Rewrite.
